Homebrew Alley XII

Our annual competition was held on February 9th and 10th, 2018, at Fifth Hammer Brewing Company in Long Island City.  It’s one of the biggest competitions around and if you make beer at home you’ll definitely want to be a part of it.  Congratulations to this year’s winners for Best in Show for beer, Josh Youngman with Dort, a German Exportbier, cider, Peter Tripp with Masons Apple Juice, a New World Cider, and mead, Phil Clarke, with Butterbean!, a Semi-Sweet Mead.  Further congratulations to our Brewer’s Choice winner, Nick Ladd, whose Hoppy Saison, a Brett Beer, will be brewed at Keg & Lantern.  Visit homebrewalley.com for full results and look out for next year’s competition. Get brewing!
